Emerald valley, located at Xiulin county in Hualien, is a tributary of Mugua river.
During Japanese occupation period, it is the hunting area of the Truku people, so there is an old tunnel made by Japanese and an entrance of the Nenggao Cross-ridge Historic Trail.
To enter the steep valley, we need to walk 2 km along the bay, during which you may enjoy the spectacular view of gorge, deep nature pools and slide waterfalls.
We welcome beginners to experience the moving moments of river tracing.
